Thanh Ha and Kim Bong Tour. (08.30 – 14.30)

Come and enjoy a great day out riding to Thanh Ha pottery village. Watch potters in action, try making a clay pot yourself then visit the Thanh Ha Terracotta Park museum. See the history of the potting village. After Thanh Ha you go back to Hoi An for a local ferry boat ride to Kim Bong Island. There you will see the different craftspeople making wood carvings, long wood boats, round bamboo boats, rice paper, incense sticks and reed mats. Top it off with local food for lunch. A great way to have a fun day out and experience real village life in Vietnam.

• Your guide will collect you at your hotel. Start tour by riding to Thanh Ha pottery village.
• At Thanh Ha you see how terracotta bricks and tiles and pottery are made by local villagers as they have done for over 500 years. Try it yourself.
• Next you go to nearby Thanh Ha Terracotta Park, a new museum building and grounds (2015) showcasing the history and art of Thanh Ha Pottery Village.
• From Thanh Ha you go back to Hoi An and catch the ferry boat over to Kim Bong Island.
• On Kim Bong you ride around and visit local villagers who work at different crafts.
• You see wood carvers and long boat makers as well as craftspeople making reed mats, rice paper, incense sticks and round bamboo boats.
• Stop at restaurant for local food lunch and have a rest.
• Tour guide returns you to your hotel.
