Thanh Ha – Cam Thanh Tour (8.30am – 2.30pm)

Come and enjoy a great day out riding to Thanh Ha pottery village. Watch potters in action, try making a clay pot yourself. Then visit the Thanh Ha Terracotta Park museum. From there go to Cam Thanh Island. Along the way see rice fields and water buffalo. Take a trip in a round bamboo boat and fish for crabs. Have a cooking class and lunch with a local family. A great way to have a fun day out and experience real village life in Vietnam.

• Your guide will collect you at your hotel. Start tour by riding to Thanh Ha pottery village.
• At Thanh Ha you see how terracotta bricks and tiles and pottery are made by local villagers as they have done for over 500 years. Try it yourself.
• Next you go to nearby Thanh Ha Terracotta Park, a new museum building and grounds (2015) showcasing the history and art of Thanh Ha Pottery Village.
• From Thanh Ha you go to Cam Thanh Island. Stop along the way to see rice fields and water buffalo.
• On Cam Thanh you join local fishermen and have fun in round bamboo boats exploring nipa palm forest waterways and catching purple crabs.
• You then visit a local house where you have a cooking class and lunch and relax.
• Tour guide returns you to your hotel.
